Supervisor Jamie Sassano

Dr. Jamie Sassano is proud to serve the Lacey Township School District as the Supervisor of Instruction for Grades 6–12. A 1998 graduate of Lacey Township High School, Dr. Sassano is grateful for the opportunity to return to the district that shaped her educational journey and to support the students, teachers, and families of the Lacey community.
With more than 15 years in secondary education, instructional coaching, curriculum development, and educational leadership, she brings a strong foundation in classroom instruction and district-level support. She began her career in Lacey as a classroom teacher, designing and teaching courses in English, Humanities, Leadership, and AP Seminar. Her focus was on creating learning experiences that were meaningful, accessible, and connected to students’ lives. She believes strong instruction begins with clear expectations, purposeful practice, and relationships that help students feel supported and challenged.
In her role as an Instructional and Data Coach, she supported teachers with student performance data, instructional planning, and standards-aligned practices. Her work has included curriculum design, assessment development, professional learning, and instructional technology to strengthen student achievement.
Dr. Sassano holds a B.A. in English from Rutgers University, an M.A. in Education/Educational Technology from New Jersey City University, and an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She also teaches English at the college level and has developed curriculum for secondary, college, and teacher preparation programs.
As an instructional leader, Dr. Sassano is committed to supporting teachers, strengthening curriculum, and using data in practical ways to improve student learning. Her approach is grounded in collaboration, clarity, and growth. She believes strong schools are built through meaningful relationships, consistent expectations, and a shared commitment to helping every student become a confident learner, thinker, and communicator.
