EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAM UPDATE

The 2009 Extended School Year Program at Cedar Creek School will start at 8:00 am on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. BD Classes will be at Mill Pond School. In keeping with a “GREENER AMERICA” the summer program hours have changed. The program now will be 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and Preschool hours will be 8:00 am 12:00 pm and closed on Fridays. You will be contacted by the transportation department about busing arrangements for your child.

Please be assured that disinfecting procedures in our schools have been elevated as a precaution. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school principals or nurses. Information can also be found at the Ocean County Health Department or the New Jersey Department of Health.

Physical Forms for the Fall sports season are available in the Health Office. All physicals must be completed by June before school lets out. If you do not have a physical you cannot participate in Fall sports.

THE DISTRICT STUDENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT IS RE-ESTABLISHING OUR PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL FOR PARENTS AND STAFF OF OUR SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS. THE COUNCIL WILL MEET TWICE A YEAR TO DISCUSS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, PARENTAL CONCERNS, AND RESOURCES FOR PARENTS, STAFF AND STUDENTS. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE ADVISORY COUNCIL, PLEASE CONTACT THE STUDENT SERVICES OFFICE AT 971-2043 BY NOVEMBER 17, 2008.
